Verify your YouTube watch history

This step is required to complete your verification. It takes about 5 minutes and only requires a quick export from Google. Follow each step below exactly.

Go to Google Takeout

Open your browser and go to takeout.google.com. Make sure you are signed into the same Google account that is connected to your YouTube channel.

Deselect everything

At the top of the product list, click Deselect all so nothing is checked. This ensures you only export what we need.

Select only YouTube history

Scroll down to YouTube and YouTube Music and check that box only. Then click All YouTube data included to open the data filter.

Deselect everything except history, then click OK. This keeps the file small and focused on exactly what we need.

Configure and create your export

Scroll to the bottom and click Next step. Under delivery method, choose Send download link via email. Set the file type to .zip and the size to 2 GB. Then click Create export.

Google will email you a download link. This usually takes a few minutes but can take up to an hour for large accounts.

Download the file

When you get the email from Google, click the download link and save the .zip file to your computer. You do not need to unzip it.

The download link expires in 7 days. Download it as soon as you get the email.

Email the file to us

Compose a new email, attach the .zip file, and send it to the address below. Include your full name in the subject line so we can match it to your account.
