On July 4, 2025, one of the most significant pieces of tax legislation in nearly a decade became law. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act rewrote the rules for how business owners keep money and pay taxes.
You probably heard news about the act. But what have you done to benefit from it?
For example, if you spent money on research, software or engineering in the last three years, you may be owed a refund. You just have to file an amended return before the deadline.
There are many other opportunities like these that you can take advantage of too.
The Millionaire Maker Tax & Entity Report walks you through the changes and what they mean for your business structure. Your report also comes with a free strategy session, so you get advice specific to your business for benefiting from these new advantages.
Additional Tax Benefits for Business Owners…
20% Deduction. Now Extended.

Buy equipment or invest in your business and deduct the full cost in Year 1, not spread over a decade. For qualifying property under the updated rules.

2026 Tax and Entity Report FAQs
What is the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA)?
The One Big Beautiful Bill Act is a tax law signed on July 4, 2025. It extends and expands several provisions from the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, including the QBI deduction, bonus depreciation, and R&D expensing rules for business owners.
Is the 20% QBI deduction still available in 2026?
Yes. The Qualified Business Income (QBI) deduction, which was set to expire at the end of 2025, was made permanent under the OBBBA and increased from 20% to 23%. This applies to pass-through entities such as LLCs, S-Corps, sole proprietorships and partnerships.
Can I still deduct 100% of equipment costs in one year?
Yes. The OBBBA permanently restored 100% bonus depreciation, retroactive to January 19, 2025. Businesses can deduct the full cost of qualifying equipment in the year you purchased it, rather than depreciating over several years.
Can I get a refund for R&D expenses from previous years?
Possibly. The OBBBA reinstated immediate R&D expensing and made it retroactive to January 1, 2022. Small businesses with under $31 million in annual receipts may be able to file amended returns for 2022–2024.
How do I know if my business entity (LLC, S-Corp, or C-Corp) is still the right structure after the OBBBA?
The right entity depends on your income level, industry, state and goals. The permanent QBI deduction and bonus depreciation rules may change which structure is most advantageous. A tax strategist can review your specific situation against the updated rules.
